When we say Happy Hour, we’re not talking about the drinking kind. Originating from the navy, where sailors would stop work at 5pm to enjoy some downtime, happy hour has always been reserved for joy and relaxation. For dogs, the happiest part of their day is when they spend quality time with you, closely followed by meal time. By developing meals that keep them happy and healthy, we hope to enhance that special time you spend together

Our family owns and operates K9 Heaven
We're not just a dog food brand. We also care for dogs professionally. As one of Auckland's leading doggy daycare and boarding facilities, at K9 Heaven our commitment is to creating better, happier, healthier dogs.
With more than 20 years in the industry, we wanted to create an environment where dogs get to be dogs while feeling safe, protected and treated like the individual they are. We think our 10 acre farm facility is a great place to do that.
We have three dogs of our own. Merc, Cleo, and Elsa. We know that, like with humans, a dog's nutrition plays a huge role in their health span and life span. For our three, we only want the best for them.
Merc's the picky eater, Cleo's the waste disposal/food vacuum cleaner, and Elsa is our old rescue girl who was, let's just say, a bit overweight with joint issues when we adopted her.
Disappointed by the lack of nutritious, quality dog food on the market, we decided to make our own. Using real New Zealand we developed a recipe that our dogs adore and meets their three very different nutritional needs.
Selfishly, we did it for them. But they love it so much, we felt it only right to share.

While we love what we do and have a blast doing it, making a lasting positive impact in our community is something we take very seriously and serves as the bedrock for why we do what we do. It’s why we run K9 Heaven and it’s why we’re so passionate about Happy Hour. We’re not just selling food to dogs, we’re feeding it at over 48000+ meal hours every year at our home and passion, K9 Heaven.We see Happy Hour as the next piece in the puzzle of positively impacting as many dogs as we hoomanly can. While K9 Heaven allows dogs to be dogs by giving them access to nature to run around with a pack, Happy Hour fuels their adventures, those days out on the farm, and quality time with you.
Fresh Approach to Dog Food
Rather than bulking our dog food out with grains and other unnecessary ingredients that offer little nutritional value, we have taken a simpler approach. At Happy Hour, we focus on more of the fresh stuff to give your dog both flavour and nutrition.

Just like humans, dogs need a well-balanced diet to support their growth and development. Using real New Zealand meat and green lipped mussels, our products are designed to promote overall health and wellbeing, giving your pup the quality they deserve.

K9 Heaven has donated over $300,000 in time, foster space and resource to help rescue dogs in need in NZ. Working with a multitude of dog rescues.
